the trial of Galileo

The greeks believed that the planets moved around the sun clockwise and that the earth was motionless because no one felt the earth moving. Galileo went against that and showed his theory. He was put in trial because of his beilfs and his piont of you on the worlds movement. Galileo was charged life in jail just because he believed different then the catholics theory on the earts movement.
